Card acquiring

Accept cards as a PSP merchant or as an ISO.

PaySquirl card acquiring is intended for businesses that need to take card payments. Choose an all-in-one PSP programme or an ISO setup you assemble yourself β€” gateway, merchant account and merchant services. FINTRAC registration is pending; these services are not offered yet.

Two ways to accept cards

  • PSP offering

One programme: payment gateway, merchant account and merchant services under PaySquirl. Built for teams that want a single stack.

  • ISO offering

Pick the pieces. Unique merchant IDs, routing rules and more control over how payments are orchestrated.

  • Who it is for

Online and card-present merchants that need acquiring β€” not card issuing to employees or recipients. Issuing is a separate product.

PSP offering

An all-in-one acquiring stack.

The PSP path is intended for merchants that want one application, one operating dashboard and one set of controls. PaySquirl would provide the gateway, the merchant account and the servicing layer together.

Payment gateway

Take card payments on a website or in an app. Fraud screening, risk rules and managed compliance sit on the same platform so the merchant does not have to stitch those pieces together.

Merchant account

Onboarding is meant to run as a sub-merchant under the PaySquirl programme. The business does not have to open a direct relationship with an acquiring bank on day one.

Merchant services

Processing, billing support and the tools used to run the account β€” disputes, reporting, payout timing and value-added controls β€” stay in one place.

ISO offering

Pick-and-choose acquiring.

The ISO path is intended for operators that already know how they want payments to move. You select the gateway, the account structure and the services, then keep more of the orchestration.

Payment gateway

Online and in-store acceptance. Multiple merchant IDs (MIDs) and routing rules so traffic can be sent where the programme needs it.

Merchant account

A direct merchant account with a unique MID. PaySquirl would guide the file through an acquiring bank rather than folding the merchant only into a master account.

Merchant services

Choose the servicing set: processing only, or processing plus billing, routing and operational controls. The merchant keeps a wider say in how the stack is assembled.

Eligibility

What an application would have to show.

Nothing here is an offer to process cards. Until FINTRAC registration is granted, PaySquirl Limited does not board merchants or accept card transactions. When the programme is live, an application would be checked against at least the following.

Principals

The company should be incorporated in a supported country, with at least one principal resident in that same country. Identity, control and source-of-wealth checks follow the onboarding file.

Business

A registered company or sole proprietorship in a supported region, a business bank account in the country of incorporation, and a model that sits inside PaySquirl’s published risk appetite and restricted-activities list.

Website and checkout

A working site that shows the real products or services, prices, contact details, terms, privacy policy and any restricted-area rules that apply to the offer.

How an application would run

Talk first. File second.

  1. Write to the PaySquirl desk with the business model, geographies and whether you need PSP or ISO.
  2. If the model is in appetite, complete company onboarding and the checks required for a regulated money services business.
  3. When registration allows the service to go live, the programme is enabled for gateway, MID and servicing as agreed.
